Get started with LA VIPÈRE in minutes
LA VIPÈRE is an AI-native CAD platform that generates mathematically accurate patterns from scratch. This guide walks you through creating your first design: generating a custom avatar with measurements, creating patterns from images or text prompts, viewing patterns in DXF and SVG formats, and simulating garments in 3D. Generate complex patterns with mathematical accuracy - no manual pattern drafting required.
Generate an Avatar
The first thing you should do is generate your personal avatar based on measurements. LA VIPÈRE allows you to create custom avatars with precise measurements for accurate pattern generation and 3D simulation. If you don't generate any avatar, you will be assigned a standard women's size XS avatar.
How to Generate an Avatar:
- Click on the Generate button in the navbar
- Select Generate Avatar
- You will be redirected to the avatar measurements page
For the needed measurements, you will find illustrations to guide the measurements extraction. After you finish creating your avatar, you are then ready to generate garments for it.
Generate a Design
Click on "Generate Garments" and you will be redirected to the design playground. LA VIPÈRE generates patterns from scratch using AI-powered pattern generation from images or text prompts. Each design you generate here will be simulated on your avatar with mathematical accuracy.
What You Need:
- Prompt: A description of the design together with instructions on the texture of the fabric or color
- Reference Image: Preferably a flat sketch showing the design from front and back views
How to Upload Images:
- Click on the file icon to select images from your file system
- Or directly drag and drop images there
After entering these images, together with the prompt, click on the send button. The AI will be triggered and will generate the pattern.
View Your Pattern
Once the pattern has been generated, you can view it in the pattern window in the upper right corner. LA VIPÈRE generates mathematically accurate patterns that can be exported in multiple formats.
Pattern Controls:
- Use your mouse or trackpad to zoom and pan in the pattern window
- You can download the pattern in SVG or DXF format
- DXF export enables interoperability with CLO 3D, Optitex, Lectra, Gerber, Style3D, and Adobe Illustrator
- Patterns preserve measurements, grade rules, and geometric relationships
Simulate & View Results
After the pattern has been generated, it will be automatically stitched and simulated over the avatar. LA VIPÈRE provides real-time 3D garment simulation that allows you to visualize how complex patterns will drape and fit before manufacturing.
Avatar Controls:
- Turn the avatar to the left and right
- Deactivate the avatar view to only keep the garment using the three round control buttons
Once the simulation has finished, you can view the final result on the avatar.
Save & Manage
All generated creations (avatars and designs) are saved and can be viewed under the profile section. Manage your AI-generated patterns, avatars, and designs all in one place for easy access and organization.
