Notches
Name the notches, then ask where they should sit so the sleeve and armhole match when you sew. The same request works in pattern terms or relative to armhole landmarks on the avatar.
What you can change
- Single notch: one mark, used on the front armhole and the matching place on the sleeve
- Double notch: two marks together, used on the back armhole and the matching place on the sleeve
- Shoulder tip on the sleeve: a single notch at the crown of the sleeve cap (no matching mark on the body)
That pairing (single = front, double = back) is the usual way to keep left/right and front/back from swapping when the sleeve is set in.
Examples
Start from the basic crew (no notches). Ask for sleeve–armhole matching notches. Compare Before and After. Pattern view shows the triangular marks on the sleeve and armhole edges. Zoom, pan, and turn stay in sync within each example.
